PROJECT HUB

We’ve made it easier for you to connect with our team through the Project Hub, conveniently located between the Kununurra Visitor Centre and the Splash Park.

At the Hub, you’ll be able to explore the latest plans, share your thoughts by completing the survey, and be part of shaping the future of the place we all call home.

What is Kununurra Reimagined?

Kununurra Reimagined is a community engagement project designed to reshape and revive our town.

Our aim is to create two investment-ready Masterplans. These will set out a clear vision and direction for future development, helping guide investment and secure funding for projects down the track.

We’re looking at everything from public spaces and parks, to roads, shops, culture and tourism. This plan will guide how Kununurra grows and develops over the next 10–20 years.

Shaped by Community

  • 1,900+ Survey responses

  • 350+ People engaged face-to-face

  • 21 Community forums across seven consultation rounds

  • Cultural leadership at the centre

Dedicated engagement with Miriwoong Elders and Aboriginal community members has been central to shaping the project – ensuring culture, stories of Country and local priorities are embedded in each masterplan.

Where we
are now?

Kununurra Reimagined is about turning community ideas into clear plans for the future.

This work has been shaped by one of the most extensive engagement programs undertaken in the region – built on listening, learning and working alongside the community.

We are still in the community engagement phase for the Foreshore Masterplan. The Draft Town Centre Masterplan is now complete.
