Kununurra Town Centre Masterplan
A community-shaped plan for the future of our town centre.
Across surveys, forums and conversations, the Kununurra community shared clear priorities for the future of the town centre. We listened. This Masterplan brings those ideas together into a single, coordinated plan – shaped by the people who live, work and spend time in Kununurra.
You told us what matters to you:
-
Make the town centre safer and more welcoming
-
Provide more shade and comfort
-
Create spaces for families, young people and community life
-
Improve walkability and connections
-
Celebrate Miriwoong culture and identity
We created a plan that includes:
-
A new Town Square for gathering, events and everyday use
-
Greener, cooler streets with more trees and shade
-
A dedicated Youth Hub and recreation spaces
-
Safer, more walkable streets and connections
-
A Cultural Trail reflecting stories of Country
